The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are making plans to return to the UK but when and why? Here’s all the details of their scheduled trip.
Royals Prince Harry and Meghan Markle famously left the country in 2019 after they made history by stepping down from their royal duties and now, it’s time for them to return to England again.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who have two children together, Archie and Lilibet, have remained Stateside since their change of careers returning only once for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
And now, the royal couple are officially preparing for another visit to carry out official duties both in England and Germany.

So when are Harry and Meghan returning to the UK? And will they be bringing their two children with them? Here’s everything you need to know about their long-awaited return:
When are Harry and Meghan returning to the UK and what’s their schedule?
In an official statement, Harry and Meghan have confirmed they’re returning to the UK in September.
A spokesperson for the couple said: “Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, are delighted to visit with several charities close to their hearts in early September.”
Their schedule includes:
September 5: One Young World Summit in Manchester
Invictus Games Dusseldorf 2023 One Year to Go in Germany
September 8: WellChild Awards
The trip is in aid of charity events ‘close to the couple’s hearts’. Meghan serves as a councillor for the One Young World summit alongside Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Sir Richard Branson, and Jamie Oliver.
Will Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s children return with them?
The former royals have two children together – Archie, 3 and Lilibet, 1. Currently, it’s unknown whether the two little ones will travel with their parents or not.
With such a busy schedule, it seems unlikely they will bring them along for the trip.
Harry and Meghan are extremely private when it comes to Archie and Lilbet too, only releasing official photos on their birthdays and ensuring they are kept out of the public eye.
Will Prince Harry and Meghan Markle meet up with the Queen?
Again, details have yet to be confirmed whether Harry and Meghan will unite with any members of the royal family.
Currently, the Queen is on her summer break at Balmoral where she’s been since July. Traditionally she stays there until September/October before resuming her royal duties back in London.
It’s typical for different members of the royal family, such as Kate Middleton, Prince William and Princess Beatrice, to visit her over the summer holidays so the Sussexes could make a private trip.
