‘#PrinceHarryIsARacist’ is trending on Twitter.
People are taking to the social media platform and blasting Prince Harry over an alleged comment he made about his ex-girlfriend, Chelsy Davy, and her Zimbabwean heritage.
Reportedly, he remarked: “She’s not black or anything, you know.”

Sharing a screenshot of the alleged comment, a Twitter user penned: “Harry is the one who wondered what colour his child was going to be: Not the Royal family, not the UK. Him. Because COLOUR matters to Harry. Meghan better thank her father. She made it, by the skin of her teeth. Literally.”
Defending the Royal, one replied, tweeting: “The barrel that is being scraped for this dead hashtag is the comedy I needed for this midweek morning.”
Another asked: “What’s the context for his quote about Chelsy? What question was asked to him?”
“Well, if his ex-girlfriend’s parents are white and were living in Zimbabwe when they gave birth to his ex, I don’t see anything with him saying she’s not black, cause she isn’t,” a third wrote.
Some tweets reference the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Oprah Winfrey interview which made headlines in 2021.
At the time, Prince Harry’s wife, Meghan Markle, claimed that there had been ‘conversations and concerns’ about what colour Archie’s skin colour would be.
She made the comment when Winfrey asked: “There’s a conversation with you about how dark your baby is going to be?”
Markle responded: “Potentially and what that would mean and look like.”
She went on to add: “They didn’t want him to be a prince… which would be different from protocol, and that he wasn’t going to receive security.”
