Johnny Depp’s defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard has ‘vindicated male abusers,’ claims a psychologist.

Expert Jessica Taylor is arguing that the high-profile case may have resulted in ‘immense damage’ and could potentially have a ‘ripple effect for years’.

Speaking to The Independent, she claimed: “I’m getting comments from women from all over social media who are being called ‘Amber’ by their abusive ex, or their husbands or boyfriends.

“It is being used by perpetrators when the woman is seen to be overacting, or getting upset, or challenging them on their abusive behaviour.

“Amber Heard has become the personification of victim-blaming and misogyny. The trial has had immense damage and will have ripple effects for years.”

The psychologist went on to discuss the actor’s alleged text messages, and them being ‘misogynistic’.

“His texts are misogynist,” she claimed. “He talks about murdering her, and burning her body, what more do people want.”

The messages Taylor was referring to were read out in the courtroom during the defamation trial.

After saying that the Aquaman star was ‘begging for global humiliation,’ Depp’s alleged texts continued: “I have no mercy, no fear and not an ounce of emotion, or what I once thought was love for this gold-digging, low level, dime a dozen, mushy, pointless dangling overused flappy fish market.

“I’m so f***ing happy she wants to fight this out!!! She will hit the wall hard!!! And I cannot wait to have this waste of a c** guzzler out of my life!!!

“I wouldn’t touch her with a goddam glove. I can only hope that karma kicks in and takes the gift of breath from her.”
