The 96-year-old was in the audience for the show, titled ‘A Gallop Through History,’ in which comedian Omid Djalili performed, playing The Herald.
At one point, he faced the Royal and said: “Thank you for choosing us over the State Opening of Parliament.”

The Queen was noticeably absent from the event due to ‘episodic mobility problems’.
After Djalili made the joke, the camera cut to the Royal, who appeared to respond by waving her hand in the air.
Noticing the moment, viewers took to Twitter and shared their thoughts.
Tweeting their opinion, one said: “I did cringe!!! However, our beautiful Queen went with it. We are so lucky to have this amazing lady.”
Another added: “That was so funny. It was brilliant to see Her Majesty enjoying her evening out.”
In agreement, a third commented: “As polite and graceful as ever in her response.”
“Omid Djalili, ‘Thank you for choosing us over the State Opening of Parliament,’ gets a huge laugh and a cheeky wave from The Queen,” a fourth wrote. “What a great sport she is.”
Elsewhere in the programme, others expressed their outrage over a moment featuring actor Tom Cruise.
The American made a surprise appearance in the Jubilee special when promoting his new film, Top Gun: Maverick.
At the time it aired, one fumed: “Can @itv just show the full ceremony without ads and Tom Cruise promoting his film?
“So far, the production is just a mess and hugely disrespectful for Her Majesty when the live show is probably very good.”
