Rebel Wilson made a dig at Meghan Markle when making a speech at the 2022 BAFTAs on March 13.
The Australian actress was just about to introduce the nominations for this year’s film category when she made reference to Prince Harry and his wife.
She said: “From drama to horror, to fantasy… Harry and Meghan’s interview with Oprah had it all.”

Wilson went on to say that the interview didn’t fall into any of the night’s categories, which resulted in some awkward laughs from the star-studded audience.
However, the Pitch Perfect star didn’t just make reference to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, she also made a joke about Prince Andrew.
She continued: “I was going to do a musical number as host; it was about Prince Andrew. It was on rollerskates, it was called Pizza Express but don’t worry, I’m not going to do it, I’m not going to sing. I’m saving my voice for the sequel to Cats.”

Viewers took to Twitter once the awards show had finished and shared their thoughts on Wilson’s hosting.
Referencing the Markle dig, one tweeted: “‘Fantasy’ is the Meghan SENSITIVE word for LIES.”
“Nothing shocking, just the truth as most worldwide see it regarding Hairy, Meggy and Andy!” a second quipped.
In agreement, a third tweeted: “It’s the truth! What @rebelwilson said about Harry and Meghan’s interview with Oprah was the truth!”
Elsewhere at the BAFTAs, actress Emma Watson also made a cheeky dig at Harry Potter creator, JK Rowling.
When up on stage, the 31-year-old said: “I’m here for all the witches.”
