A restaurant worker has gone viral after trashing a kitchen before quitting his job in a clip shared on TikTok.

A guy, known only as @dirtdawg420, posted the footage, which shows smashed plates and food lying all over the floor.

Branding the worker a ‘psycho,’ he captioned the post: “So my expo lost his mind and threw every plate at us cooks and went out with a bang!”

He added the hashtag ‘#CheddarsScratchKitchen,’ which is a restaurant chain.

The video has since amassed over 9million views on the platform, and viewers were divided in their reactions.

Some people felt sorry for the worker, with one saying: “Poor dude, must have been overworked and finally lost it. I feel bad for who has to clean it all up.”

“Man the cooks be mean to the expo at like every restaurant,” added another.

A third user said they would have left, to which the person who posted responded: “We almost did all leave, we went and had a long cig break and the servers cleaned it up and we got right back to it.”

However, others were less sympathetic and said that the behaviour wasn’t acceptable.

One viewer wrote: “Doesn’t matter how upset a person is…there’s NO reason to treat people that way and make it even harder for them to work.”

Another person chimed in, writing: “It’s the younger generation. Entitlement!”

A number of food expeditors shared their experiences as well.

“S*** it be like that sometimes!” said one. “I’ve never done it, but sure fantasied about going out like this at a job before.”

“I was an expo and tbh I cried a lot from stressing because the managers would watch me struggle and not help during a rush,” added another.

Chipping in, someone else commented: “I was kitchen expo and it’s stressful when cooks won’t give you what you’re missing and waiters are pushing for their plates.”
