News of Rihanna’s pregnancy was first announced by Page Six in January. At the time, she was photographed displaying a baby bump when taking a stroll with her partner in Harlem.

Later on, the 34-year-old spoke to Vogue magazine and said that she was refusing to wear maternity clothes.

When interviewed by the publication in April, she reportedly insisted: “I’m sorry – it’s too much fun to get dressed up. I’m not going to let that part disappear because my body is changing.”

In another interview with Elle, she joked that she’d be a ‘psycho mom’.

She commented: “I feel like that’s the type of mom I’m going to be. Psycho about it.”

Rihanna also admitted to the news outlet that when hitting her third trimester, ‘everything’ became a ‘challenge’.

Explaining herself, the singer said: “There’s a pregnancy glow. There’s also those days, girl. Especially in the third trimester, where you wake up and you’re like, ‘Oh, do I have to get dressed?’.

“Makeup for sure helps you feel like a real person. I just focused a lot on moisturizing and on contouring.”

She went on to add: “The face gets a little round and chubby. The nose starts to spread. Everything is a challenge, from getting dressed and how you’re going to do your makeup. But I like challenges.

“I like things that force me to be creative and create in new ways. And with beauty, there’s so much that you can do.”
