Adult star Riley Reid has explained why she’s stopped filming heterosexual scenes.
Riley Reid is one of the industry’s biggest names and is a social media influencer and businesswoman.
She’s opened up about what it’s really like working in the adult film business through a series of candid podcast appearances.
And now Reid has spoken in more detail about a career decision that was prompted by difficulties in her personal life.
The adult star is now married to free runner Pasha Petkuns, with whom she shares a young daughter.
In one Instagram post, Reid spoke of her appreciation for her ‘amazing’ husband.
She wrote: “Forever thankful for my newly founded family. I love you and appreciate you endlessly @pashatheboss.
“You’re such an amazing husband to me and an even better father to Emma. You’re so present in every moment with both of us and I am so happy to spend every day with you.
“Thank you for choosing me as your wife, best friend, and life partner.
“Thank you Emma for being the greatest thing to ever happen to me. I adore and love you more than you’ll ever know.”
Previously, Reid has opened up about how hard it was to enter a romantic relationship.
She revealed that she was made to feel ‘disgusting’ by exes because of her career choice.
On the Impaulsive podcast, Reid said one ex-boyfriend refused to kiss her when she’d come home from work.
“He made me feel like maybe I should quit and stuff,” she shared. “So, like, [it] made me feel like a disgusting person. And I’m not disgusting! It’s harsh. It was so horrible when he told me that.”
The adult star believed that she was ‘not going to be able to find’ love ‘while performing’ – which is why she’s previously taken breaks from p*** altogether.

Reid explained: “I’ve dated guys that were like ‘Me or p***?’ and I was like, ‘p*** never gave me this ultimatum, so I choose that.”
While a clip has also resurfaced on X (formerly known as Twitter) in which she says the industry has had a huge impact on her relationships.
Reid confessed: “A lot of times when people ask me if they should do p***, I tell them no.
“I tell them that it makes life really hard, it makes dating really hard, it makes your family life really hard, it makes intimacy hard.
“You have to be OK with being shamed every day of your life.”
She continued: “I don’t have a mom anymore, I don’t talk to her, I miss having a mom.
“When I started to set these boundaries, not giving her money or things like that – it made our relationship a bit more difficult and almost toxic and so it sucks.
“I feel like you can’t rewind and you can’t go back. I don’t have that relationship with her anymore. I don’t ever think I will and that bums me out. It bums me out a lot.”
Reid added that she also doesn’t see her father, as her stepmother doesn’t approve of the fact she does p***.

And now, Reid has revealed why she’s stopped filming heterosexual scenes.
She hasn’t quit the industry completely – but she has stopped filming the boy-girl scenes that catapulted her to fame in the 2010s.
Reid has explained exactly why she won’t be making any more heterosexual p***.
The adult star said it caused difficulties in her love life away from the camera when appearing on Jordyn Jones’ What They Don’t Tell You podcast.
“Dating was really hard,” she said, referring to the expectations potential partners had of her.
“Especially as I grew a name for myself, it was hard to meet someone who didn’t know who I was.
“And so, there was always that, like, fandom.”
On being able to differentiate between her stage identity, Riley Reid, and her actual identity, Ashley Matthews, she explained: “They met me first in their mind as Riley.
“So it was really hard to like, reverse and teach them that I’m Ashley.”
She continued: “I didn’t retire but I just stopped shooting boy-girl p***.
“It was a choice I made on my own but I made that choice because I was lonely and I wanted love and affection and stuff.”
Reid is not the only adult film star to speak out about the industry.
Both Lana Rhoades and Mia Khalifa have been open about their experiences working in the business too.
