Robert Irwin fans are slamming trolls for ‘constantly reminding’ the zookeeper about his dad’s tragic death.

The TV personality has attracted over four million followers on TikTok, however, users frequently mention his father, Steve Irwin, who was killed by a stingray back in 2006.

After spotting this, TikToker Maggie Robert shared a post which read: “Robert Irwin: Look at this cool animal. The entire comment section: Your dad is dead and I miss him.”

In response to her post, one user remarked: “Everyone saying his dad would have been so proud of him in every post.”

Agreeing, a second commented: “Everyone saying his dad would have been so proud of him in every post.”

A third pitched in, writing: “Facts! Can people just let him live without mentioning his dad every second?”

Although trolls have been criticised for constantly reminding the teenager about his dad, the 18-year-old recently took to the platform and paid tribute to Steve Irwin on Father’s Day.

Alongside footage of his dad, he simply wrote: “I hope you all had a wonderful Father’s Day in the US – sending love to those who couldn’t celebrate with their dad.”

Fans of the late TV personality commented on the clip, with one writing: “He was a dad to anyone who didn’t have a father to take them on adventures as a kid and taught some of us how to be brave when encountering wild animals.”

Another added: “He was truly a global icon, loved by everyone and you’re doing nothing short of honouring him the best way possible. Don’t imagine he could be prouder.”
