Robert Irwin has responded to a viral TikTok video of himself ‘rejecting a fan’.

The zookeeper and TV personality was asked out by a woman, named Megan Grass, who told him he was ‘cute’ and wanted his number.

However, it didn’t go as planned as Irwin avoided answering the question, although he said he was ‘very flattered’.

After the footage went viral, Steve Irwin’s son appeared on Studio 10 Australia and discussed Grass’ ‘incredibly kind’ gesture.

He said: “It was honestly, can I tell you, that made my entire day. That was incredibly kind.

“A big thank you to Megan, wherever she is. That really meant a lot, it really did.”

Irwin went on to say that he couldn’t give Grass his number as he ‘hadn’t met her before’ and didn’t want his personal information ‘all over TikTok’.

“Kudos for the confidence to ask that. And it was great to have that little chat and see people who are really keen on the message I’m sending out there and listening to what I’m doing. It meant the world and I was very appreciative,” the 18-year-old added.
