A new Royal Family parody has been slammed for mocking eight-year-old Prince George.

HBO Max dropped a trailer for the new show, titled The Prince, earlier this week and it’s supposed to be a satirical interpretation of what it’s like to live like a Royal.

However, people are taking to Twitter and arguing that it’s ‘inappropriate’ and ‘disrespectful’ to take make of a fun a child.

Watch as Piers Morgan says he still doesn’t believe Meghan Markle’s accusations about the Royal Family in the clip below…

“Making fun of an eight-year-old is weak!” one person tweeted.

Another added: “No kids should be mocked like this for money. Shame on @hbomax for allowing this to go ahead.”

A third said: “This looks super uncomfortable simply because it is based on the real-life family. They could have easily solved the issue by creating a fictional Royal Family and country.

“This is going to be a huge dumpster fire.”

Prince George’s parents, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, are known for being incredibly protective of all three of their children.

Most recently, Prince William and Kate Middleton were reportedly considering not sharing a birthday photograph of their eldest as they were ‘upset’ with people mocking his appearance at the Euros final.

An insider told The Royal Beat: “There are rumours that we might not see the photograph [of Prince George] when he’s eight, because they’ve been so upset by the rudeness of people mocking a little boy aged seven, and I hope they can overcome that.”
