Salma Hayek says that the key to looking young is not washing your face in the morning.
The 57-year-old actress began her career in Mexico, starring in a telenovela.
She’s gone on to appear in films such as Frida, From Dusk till Dawn and Grown Ups.
As well as being known for her acting, Hayek is also recognised for her looks, which clearly haven’t faded over time.
In an interview with British GQ, The Hitman’s Bodyguard star opened up about how she achieves her youthful appearance and glowing skin.

During the chat, she answered fans’ biggest questions on the internet, and one person asked: “What is Salma Hayek’s skincare routine?
“That woman is in her 50s and looks amazing.”
At first, Hayek jokingly responded: “What? I’m 41! No, I’m just kidding.”
She then admitted: “My grandmother taught me to never wash my face in the morning.
“It’s not disgusting guys.”
The 56-year-old went on to explain: “What happens at night is your skin produces all the oils that your skin needs to look youthful. It regenerates.
“So, wash your skin really great at night but don’t wash the hard work off your skin in the morning.”
However, not everyone seems convinced by Hayek’s advice, and some experts warn people to do otherwise.

Chemist and founder of SOS Serum Skincare, Bruce Green, has urged people not to follow this tip after watching Hayek’s interview online.
He says: “I love Salma but I don’t agree with her grandmother’s or her views on skin cleansing.
“Cleansing is one of the single most important things you can do for your skin.”
The expert then explains that everyone’s skin accumulates dirt from sweat, makeup and pollution throughout the day.
Green is advising people to take up cleansing instead, adding: “If you do not cleanse your skin twice a day, your pores will become clogged, and your skin will start to look dull.”
Many people have taken to social media and reacted to Hayek’s tip.
One person writes: “I’m waaaaaaay too oily, I need to wash my face in the mornings.”
Another adds: “My acne says no to this.”
While others are saying they want to give it a go, with one commenting: “I only wash my skin at night and wipe the sleep out of my eyes in the am and moisturiser and then SPF.
“I’m 29 and I look 15.”
A second person says: “She’s just validated me to be lazy in the morning, now I love her even more.”
“I do this,” somebody else shares. “It’s completely true.”
