Salt Bae fans have reportedly been left confused after finally hearing him speak.
The celebrity chef, who recently announced he’s leaving his London restaurant after just six weeks, regularly posts videos on social media but before now, he has never spoken.
In his latest clip, the 38-year-old gushes about London, saying: “Hold on, hold on. I wanna say something about London.”

Pushing his chair back and throwing his hands up in the air, he continues: “London is my big dream. Some day, next day, every day. All the time.
“I love London. London is different. [It’s] like a gold.”
The person filming the footage then asks him: “So what about your English?”
He responds: “My English is almost like a British.”
Imitating British speakers, he said: “‘You know’… ‘Cheers’,” before adding: “Hope to see you soon London.”

People were quick to share their thoughts on the post, with many saying that it was the first time they’d heard his voice.
Footballer Rio Ferdinand commented three laughing emojis, and another person added: “You’re funny lol.”
A third person took issue with the social media sensation’s facial expression, saying: “Why you doing that thing with your top lip lmao?”

Others also weren’t a fan of how Salt Bae spoke, with one writing: “Doesn’t just look like a pr*** and behave like one he even talks like one, now it all males sense. Not cool at all.”
Salt Bae became a social media sensation thanks to his unorthodox seasoning method which came to light back in 2017. Now he owns a global chain of steakhouses.
The chef’s London eatery has been the subject of criticism since it opened, and most recently, diners have been blasting his ‘unethical’ service charges.
