Salt Bae’s London restaurant is reportedly hiring chefs and the hourly wage is believed to be the ‘same price’ as the menu’s mashed potato.

The celebrity chef’s Knightsbridge site, Nurs-Et, is searching for a Chef de Partie, whose role will be to work in one area of the kitchen.

In the job’s advert, it says the chosen application will get to work with some of ‘the finest ingredients from the UK and abroad in one of the most famous steakhouses in the world’.

However, they’ll reportedly only be on an hourly rate of £12, plus any tips.

Basically, this means they’ll be making the equivalent to the side portion of mash potato, or corn on the cob, while diners are being given the option of a whopping £650 steak.

The job’s full description reportedly reads: “Amazing opportunity for an experienced Chef De Partie to join Nusret team in the new restaurant in London!

“As a Chef De Partie, you will be working with some of the finest ingredients from the UK and abroad in the one of the most famous steakhouses in the world.

“You will play a vital part in a large team and will support the Head Chef during service.

“To the successful candidate, Nusret London offers a highly competitive salary and excellent opportunities to develop a global career.

“If you’re a Chef de Partie looking to work the famous steakhouse, send your CV, we want to hear from you!”

Recently, Salt Bae’s London restaurant has also made headlines for being ‘unethical’.

Last month, a diner called out the steakhouse for reportedly adding a staggering service charge to an already extortionate bill of £32,000.

According to the receipt that was shared on social media, the diners had to pay over £4,000 in addition to the overall cost.

After seeing the bill, one person took to Twitter and penned: “Salt Bae is a fraud. You can’t charge that amount for a service charge for alcohol. It is unethical.”

Another added: “I begrudge a £50 service charge never mind £5k. That’s insane.”

“The service charge is killing me, £4,000… Salt Bae must have been doing handstands on the table,” a third Twitter user commented.
