A woman watched on in shock as two police officers and an eviction officer allegedly tried to force entry into her property, before realising they were at the ‘wrong house’.

40-year-old Jennifer Michele, from Florida, was visiting her mother when it is alleged that El Paso deputies were attempting to evict her family on Ring doorbell footage, which was uploaded to TikTok.

She says through the speaker: “Hello? What are you doing?,” as the men drilled through the door.

They reply: “We’re here to finalise the eviction,” before Michele asks, “What eviction?”

When told the notice was posted a week ago, the woman insists that she’s ‘all paid up’ on her bills, before notifying the officers that there are dogs inside the house.

When the officer asks Michele for her name, a voice is heard saying: “Oh, s***. Oh, dammit,” as the three men attempt to put the damaged door back together.

The woman exclaims: “I am caught up on my bills, nobody has served me an eviction notice. What the hell is going on?”

An officer then responds: “We do apologise, we have the wrong house. It’s the next-door neighbours.”

Talking to the Tampa Bay Times, Michele admitted the officers did ‘fix it right away’ before bringing BBQ food round to the house as a further apology.

She told the news outlet that ‘people make mistakes’ but that she was ‘grateful’ she had a Ring doorbell as she was ‘able to catch the situation’.

She added to WTSP: “If I didn’t have my Ring, all of my stuff would have been put out on my driveway.

“If I was out of town, would they have gotten rid of my stuff? Would they have taken my dogs to animal control? I have no idea.”
