Sia has gone viral after showing off her facelift following years of keeping her appearance under wraps.
The ‘Elastic Heart’ singer, 48, famously performs wearing an enormous wig that obscures her features.
Many have wondered exactly why she keeps her face under wraps and now we finally have answers.
Sia has revealed her visage – and it turns out she’s had a facelift too!

Sia, whose full name is Sia Kate Isobelle Furler, was born in Adelaide, Australia, and is best known for hits like ‘Chandelier’.
In 2015, ‘Chandelier’ received four nominations in the 57th Annual Grammy Awards: Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Solo Performance, and Best Music Video.
The ‘Snowman’ singer has also penned huge hits for the likes of Christina Aguilera, Beyoncé, Kylie Minogue, Rihanna, Flo Rida, and David Guetta.
But aside from her musical hits, Sia is also known for her elaborate onstage costumes.
These typically include wigs or headgear that covers up her face – and it turns out, there’s a pertinent reason why!
Chatting to NPR, Sia said: “Maybe I was meditating and I thought, ‘Oh, I’ll just be the blonde bob!’
“If Amy Winehouse is the bouffant, then I’ll be the blonde bob.”
The ‘I’m Still Here’ artist expanded on the reasons behind her wigs in a piece for Billboard.
“If anyone besides famous people knew what it was like to be a famous person, they would never want to be famous,” Sia wrote.
“Imagine the stereotypical highly opinionated, completely uninformed mother-in-law character and apply it to every teenager with a computer in the entire world. Then add in all bored people, as well as people whose job it is to report on celebrities. Then, picture that creature, that force, criticising you for an hour straight once a day, every day, day after day.”
On Nightline, she also told Chris Connelly: “I don’t want to be critiqued about the way that I look on the internet.
“I’ve been writing pop songs for pop stars now for a couple of years and I’ve become friends with them and see what their life is like and that’s not something I want.”
But it wasn’t just privacy that made Sia want to hide her face.
On an episode of Carpool Karaoke, she shared: “I was a singer for like 10 or 11 years to mediocre success, and I was an alcoholic and a drug addict.
“I sobered up and decided I didn’t want to be an artist anymore, because I was starting to become a little bit famous, and it was destabilising in some way.
“So I thought, ‘What doesn’t exist in pop music at the moment?’ And it was a mystery. I was like there’s pictures on Instagram of everyone at the dentist.”
But now, Sia has revealed that she’s had a facelift!
Last year, Sia took to the stage at the Daytime Beauty Awards to present Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr Ben Talei with an Outstanding Achievement in Medicine award.
“I’m a pop star that normally hides my face and doesn’t lie about s***,” she began, adding: “I got an amazing facelift from Dr Talei. He is incredible. And he is doing so much good work – and not just for the pop stars of the world.”
She continued: “I was showing someone in the back my before-and-afters right before I came on.
“People go, ‘You look nice’. I’m like, ‘Dr Ben Talei, facelift’ for like anything you could ever want.
“I love him, I can’t say enough good about him.”
Talei returned the compliment to Sia in his acceptance speech, saying: “She really is, like you can see, a bright ray of sunshine and made my nieces and nephews’ days. She invited them over to her house for a big party, and the whole family loved her. I’m super grateful.”
