Robert Garrison Brown, the son of a Sister Wives star, has tragically been confirmed dead aged just 25.

Garrison was the son of Sister Wives stars Janelle and Kody Brown.

Sister Wives was in the TLC series documenting a polygamist family’s day-to-day life, starring Garrison’s mother Janelle and his father Kody’s other wives — Meri, Christine and Robyn Brown.

Janelle spiritually married Kody in 1993, and the couple went on to have six children: Logan, Madison, Hunter, Garrison, Gabriel and Savanah.

But now, devastating news of Garrison’s passing has left the internet heartbroken.

The Sister Wives family has been plagued by controversy since 2021.

This was when Christine Brown left Kody after more than 25 years of marriage.

Soon after, Garrison’s mother Janelle became the second of the sister wives to leave, in December of 2022.

Shortly after that, Robyn also split from Kody, leaving Meri as the sole partner of the former polygamist.

Many of Kody’s children have commented on the distance between them and their father, particularly because of his behaviour during the Covid pandemic.

“I was met with just a wall,” Gabriel shared at the time, per People. “And there was no line of dialogue. I think that that is what really drove the wedge between us.”

Janelle added to these concerns, stating: “I have worried about my boys’ mental health. Gabriel feels everything very, very deeply. But he’s also the kid who doesn’t say anything.”

She also said that Garrison ‘just seems angry or sadder, like, he’s not as happy-go-lucky as he used to be’.

Kody confirmed this during a May 2023 episode of Sister Wives, saying: “I haven’t been in touch with Gabriel and Garrison for quite a while.

“I’m pretty sad that I’m not close anymore. There were just so many things in our lives that we did that were rich together, you know, just special experiences.”

He added: “I think and hope that in time we’ll just get over this and that we’ll be safe being back around each other. Right now, there’s not really an open door with Gabe and Garrison. They’re they’re not willing to engage me.”

Since Garrison’s death has been confirmed, tributes have been pouring in online.

Janelle writes on Instagram: “Kody and I are deeply saddened to announce the loss of our beautiful boy Robert Garrison Brown.

“He was a bright spot in the lives of all who knew him. His loss will leave such a big hole in our lives that it takes our breath away. We ask that you please respect our privacy and join us in honouring his memory.”

This statement was echoed by Kody on his own Instagram page.

TLC also issued a statement, reading: “We are devastated to hear of the tragic loss of Garrison Brown. We extend our deepest sympathies and heartfelt condolences to the Brown family at this difficult time.”
