Snapchat has denied claims that the ‘crying face’ filter is ‘inspired by Amber Heard’.

A spokesperson for the social media platform has reportedly spoken to TMZ and said that there is no truth to the theory that is circulating on TikTok.

Apparently, the filter – which dropped on May 6 – has been planned for ‘six months’ and was in development long before Heard gave her emotional testimony in Johnny Depp’s defamation trial.

TMZ reported that another source pointed out the filter was an obvious expression for the platform to create, as it had already released the ‘big smiley face’.

Speaking of theories in regards to Heard and Depp’s trial, a new one has surfaced about the Pirates of the Caribbean star’s lawyer, Camille Vasquez.

People who have been watching the case as it’s broadcast around the world have suggested that she and Depp ‘like each other’.

In a viral TikTok video of the two, one wrote: “Johnny leaving court today, Camille notices he’s about to take off so follows him to say goodbye.

“The lady got in her way so she couldn’t hug him.”

According to TMZ, this particular rumour has also been denied by a source close to the attorney.

The insider reportedly insisted that there is ‘nothing going on between them’.

Despite the claim being denied, it hasn’t stopped Depp’s fans from fantasising about a possible romance between the pair.

One mused: “Massive sparks between them, but all professional until after the case is over.”

In agreement, a second said: “Oh my God, that’s how my boyfriend and I flirted before ’cause we weren’t allowed to date. They like each other.”
