Disney has responded to Peter Dinklage saying that the Snow White and The Seven Dwarves remake is ‘f***ing backwards’.
The American media and entertainment company has released a statement about the upcoming adaption and confirmed they will be taking a ‘different approach’.
It reads: “To avoid reinforcing stereotypes from the original animated film, we are taking a different approach with these seven characters and have been consulting with members of the dwarfism community.

“We look forward to sharing more as the film heads into production after a lengthy development period.”
According to The Wrap, casting sheets state that the film will replace the seven dwarves with ‘magical creatures’.
Reportedly, Disney is currently looking for voice actors for these roles.
The criticism around the adaption began when the Game Of Thrones star – who has a form of dwarfism called achondroplasia – slammed Disney for being ‘progressive’ in some areas and not so much in others.

On Marc Maron’s WTF podcast, Dinklage said: “No offence to anything but I was a little taken aback by… they were very proud to cast a Latino actress as Snow White, but you’re still telling the story of Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs.”
He continued: “Take a step back and look at what you’re doing there. It makes no sense to me.
“You’re progressive in one way but you’re still making that f***ing backward story of seven dwarves living in the cave.
“What the f*** are you doing, man? Have I done nothing to advance the cause from my soapbox? I guess I’m not loud enough.”
