Stacey Solomon’s controversial comments about the Queen have resurfaced amid the Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
The star appeared on the panel of Loose Women back in 2018, where she admitted that she ‘doesn’t get the difference’ between the Royal Family and ordinary people.
At the time, she said: “I just don’t get it. I don’t get any of it. I don’t get why we’re so obsessed with these humans that are exactly the same [as us]. Like it could be us four sitting there. Like, I just don’t get it.

This prompted her co-host, Kaye Adams, to ask: “But are you talking about, what you mean as royals? Or as like Kim Kardashian? Because for me they’re becoming celebrities.”
To which Solomon replied: “Well, to me, that’s all they are.”

After Adams insisted that Her Majesty has ‘worked hard’ and accepted her ‘duty’, Solomon doubled down on her opinion, adding: “But I would work hard if the whole country paid for me to have, like, 12 houses.
“People are thinking that already.
“It’s freezing cold outside and people are homeless and these people have houses to spare and it does sometimes become a little bit frustrating because I don’t see the purpose of all of that money going to this entire family.”
The comments were challenged on social media, with many users saying they didn’t agree.
“I liked her before this. How can nobody like the Queen?” questioned one.

A second added: “I don’t get the point of Stacey Solomon, but hey ho, here we are.”
Pitching in, a third added: “She’s not wrong but why do people have such a huge problem with paying for the royals to have the lives they have?”
