Stranger Things fans have launched a petition for the writers to bring back Eddie Munson, who died in the Season Four finale.

The character certainly met his demise shortly after playing Metallica’s ‘Master of the Puppets’ in the Upside-Down which became a huge talking point, and while the show’s creators, The Duffer Brothers, have confirmed he won’t be returning, some viewers are having none of it.

The Change.org description reads: “This is a petition I have started to bring back fan favourite Eddie Munson.

The Duffer Brothers have unfairly killed him off and many other fans and I think he deserves to be brought back and not just as a flashback, please sign this petition to spread awareness.

Stranger Things fans are kindly asking Netflix and the Duffer Brothers to bring back the fan favourite character Eddie Munson.”

Even though he was introduced in Season Four, he quickly became one of the most popular and liked characters in the series, despite many viewers being unsure about him initially. This petition only highlights how much of a fanbase he gathered.

The Real Life Experiments That Inspired ‘Stranger Things’

On Twitter, one posted: “I need a confirmation that Eddie Munson is coming back like how am I supposed to live.”

Another penned: “I don’t care if they bring him back in the most awkward way, but Eddie Munson is coming back, even if it means unicorns revive him with their nose idc!”

However, one user has come up with their own theory, saying: “I think the only way we see Eddie Munson coming back in Season Five is with Vecna using Eddie’s body as a vessel to terrorise Dustin and make him feel guilty for his death. To make Dustin feel like he could’ve done more.”
