A Canadian woman was overjoyed to find that the stray cat she’d help survive had brought along her adorable family of kittens to show her.
Lisianne began to notice that there was a lonely looking cat that was hanging around her garden in Quebec. Wanting to help the stray cat, she’d leave food for the animal.
It wasn’t long before the feline became quite attached to the woman and began to return each day. Each time, it would be treated with pats and food.
Eventually, the bond became so tight that Lisianne decided she needed to give the tabby a name. She settled on Usagi.
As Usagi would visit quite often, the woman began to notice that she was getting bigger and bigger. At one point, she became concerned she was overfeeding her. Yet little did she know, Usagi had found herself pregnant.
In a Facebook post, local rescue group Chatons Orphelins Montréal explained: “This lady with a big heart for this cause was watching her, she put food and water in order to help her…a routine has settled between this kitty and her good fairy.
“With this routine, the lady gained her confidence and the kitty started getting closer.”
To Lisianne’s astonishment, she found that Usagi had given birth outside and was delighted when the feline decided to show off her new kittens by bringing them one by one to her porch.
Chatons Orphelins continued in their post: “She brought her six babies back and she set up her nest at the lady’s house. Their good fairy decided to help this little family and they secured them home in a room. The mom and her six babies were finally safe.”
While one of the kittens was adopted by Lisianne’s friend, five of the kittens have now been put in the care of the local rescue until they find a new and loving home.
When the kittens were brought in, it was discovered that they were all suffering from conjunctivitis and breathing issues. Fortunately, these issues have been sorted with treatment.
“The five babies are the same, they were all tufts of black hair. There were three females, Taylor, Tynie and Tyana, along with two males, Tales and Tito,” Chatons Orphelins said.
This story even has a happy ending, as Lisianne has now decided to adopt Usagi so that she can make sure she doesn’t get pregnant again. She has now been spayed and is constantly given lots of treats!
