Supermarket Sweep Is Making A Comeback With A New Host

One of the most popular TV shows of the ’90s is set to make a comeback, Supermarket Sweep!

There are so many classic TV shows that deserve to make a comeback in this day and age. During the 90s’ we were blessed with legendary shows like The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air, SMTV Live and Live And Kicking to name a few, all of which have yet to make a return for the millennial market.

However, some classic shows have returned to our screens, including The Crystal Maze which is now hosted by the brilliant Richard Ayoade, and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, again with new host Jeremy Clarkson taking Chris Tarrant’s place in the hot seat.

Well, now there is another show to add to the list and without giving away too much, it takes place in the rarest of TV studio settings: a supermarket!

Yes, the legendary Supermarket Sweep is making a much-needed comeback and will be hosted by TV presenter, Rylan Clark-Neal.

Fans of the original will know that Rylan has some big shoes to fill, with the classic show originally hosted by the one and only, Dale Winton, who sadly passed away last year at the age of 62.

Winton possessed the rare ability to truly make the show ‘his’ and hosted the family game show for eight series from 1993-2001 with Dale, and the show also making a brief comeback in 2007.

Rylan announced the show would be making a return to our screens on his Twitter, sharing the good news to his 1.5m followers.

Naturally, the announcement has got a lot of fans excited, with one commenting: “FINALLY the reboot we’ve all been waiting for!!” and another adding “Can’t think of anyone better to fill Dale’s shoes – know you’ll do him proud”.
