Georgina Cooper has tragically died at age 46.
The British supermodel rose to fame during the 1990s, a hugely influential time in the fashion world, and became known for her Cool Britannia look with her gapped front tooth.
She began her modeling career at 13 and two years later, her first breakthrough came with a feature in a Bon Jovi music video.
As the fashion world mourns her death, tributes pour in from Cooper’s friends in the industry.
Model Jade Parfitt tells the Daily Mail: “Georgina was a ray of light, a very popular model who was riotous fun, always laughing and being naughty in all the best ways. Her achievements in the industry were huge.”
Supermodel Erin O’Connor pens on Instagram: “You were an incredibly kind and funny human being, Georgina. I/we all admired and loved you so much for the warmth, generosity, and gentle mischief you brought to the world.”
Cooper’s former agent, Dean Goodman, also writes: “She was the original gap-toothed girl! I will miss her immensely, RIP in peace, Georgie girl, I will never forget you and always love you, see you on the other side.”

Cooper worked with some of the biggest names in fashion, becoming a muse for renowned photographer Corinne Day and appearing on the cover of fashion bibles such as Vogue and The Face.
Former model agency executive Carole White told WWD: “She was a walk-in and she was so much fun.
“When she was young, she made a lot of money and she had this very edgy streak that was of the time. Everyone found the gap between her teeth quite amazing.”
Despite being a prominent figure in the industry, Cooper left the fashion world in the early 2000s to focus on raising her child, Sonny.
In 2018, the former supermodel said: “After I had my son I just couldn’t bear to leave him alone and I wanted to be there for him. I tried to continue modeling but it broke my heart when I had to leave him for work.
“I focused on modeling assignments in London but my life was at a crossroads and I decided that Sonny came first.”
The mom-of-one was said to have most recently worked in hospitality in Kent.
Cooper’s death comes just months after she married her new husband, Nigel, reports the Daily Mail.
The star reportedly fell ill while on holiday in Kos with her spouse, leading her to be taken to the island’s main hospital.
However, it’s believed her condition became so serious doctors arranged for an air ambulance to fly her to Crete, which has better facilities.
Cooper reportedly stayed in intensive care for five days before tragically passing away. Her body has now been flown back to England.
Her former agent, Goodman, told the Daily Mail: “She loved Greece and told me that she was going back with her new husband – but she has tragically died there a fortnight ago.”
He also disclosed that the former supermodel had been ‘unwell during Covid and had developed some health problems.’
Cooper’s cause of death has yet to be confirmed.
The former supermodel is survived by her son, Sonny, and husband Nigel.
