According to The Wall Street Journal, Markle sent a personal letter to Swift, asking for her to appear on the show.
However, the ‘Bad Blood’ singer reportedly declined the invitation through a representative.
Earlier this month, it was reported that Spotify had ended its multimillion-pound deal with the Sussexes after just one season.
Markle and Prince Harry signed a three-year deal with the digital music platform in 2020 and it was believed to be worth a whopping £15.7 million.

The Wall Street Journal cites insiders saying that the Duke and Duchess’ production company Archewell Audio failed to meet the ‘productivity benchmarks required’ to justify the payout.
It is also claimed by the publication that Spotify executives were becoming ‘frustrated’ by the time it took Archewell to come up with an idea for Markle’s podcast, while also assembling a team to work on it.
The publication reports that Markle would ask for last-minute changes to episodes, reaching out to the show’s producers via senior Spotify executives.
Elsewhere, it is reported that Archewell Audio failed to honour all the terms of its deal with Spotify, which stated that both Prince Harry and Markle would be directly involved in producing and voicing shows.
Prince Harry reportedly struggled to finalise any idea for a podcast of his own, with it being believed he suggested shows about misinformation and veterans.
Meanwhile, it has been claimed that the Duke and Duchess will ‘stop Netflix documentaries’ as they ‘have nothing left to say’.
He claims: “Sources close to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex say the pair will stop making self-referential podcasts for Spotify, tell-all Netflix documentaries – plus no more publishing memoirs and sitting down for interviews discussing the royal family, as they have ‘nothing left to say’.”
