A teenager’s proposal to his 76-year-old girlfriend has sparked a debate online.
Giuseppe D’Anna, 19, recently took to TikTok and announced to his followers that he is planning to marry his partner, whose name has not been disclosed.
In a clip that has now gone viral, the teen bent down on one knee and asked the grandma to marry him.

He went on to show followers the ring he had chosen, as well as the gifts he had bought his girlfriend.
“This is only the beginning of a long relationship,” the teen added.
Although the couple is believed to be Portuguese, several English followers have commented on the proposal.
Confused, one viewer said: “I have so many questions.”
Another simply remarked: “Not another one.”
“I think you guys took it a little too serious when y’all said you like older girls,” commented a third.
A fourth joined in, writing: “How many billions does grandma have in her account?”
“Nope that’s enough internet for today,” another added.

In response to the trolls and their comments, the 19-year-old responded by writing: “My love is beautiful.”
Others have taken to the 19-year-old’s TikTok page and insisted that it’s a ‘joke,’ with the 76-year-old actually being his ‘grandma’.
To back this up, some viewers pointed out that the pair ‘never kiss on the lips’. Usually, they only peck each other on the cheek in their videos.
Determined to prove that their love is the real deal, D’Anna has shared more loved-up videos, with one being captioned: “Siamo anime gemelle,” which translates as, “We are soulmates.”
