A terrorist expert revealed the reason Shamima Begum, who was recently dubbed an ‘ISIS bride monster’ by Piers Morgan, should never return to the UK in a resurfaced clip from 2019.

Will Geddes, who is a security expert, made the comments while appearing on This Morning, and labeled the now 22-year-old a ‘potential threat’.

He said: “That’s an awful lot of taxpayer money being spent and invested on yet another possible threat to the country when that’s, as we know, [the security services] have got finite resources that could be better assigned to what is deemed to be a more viable or relevant target than necessarily her.

“We’ve heard of way too many occasions when in the wake of a successful terrorist attack that the person had been on the radar but wasn’t currently at the time that they carried out the attack. You know, because, security services have to obviously prioritise certain targets over others.

“They can’t concentrate on everybody all the time.”

Backing up his point, Geddes referenced Usman Khan. The convicted terrorist was released from prison in 2018 and claimed he had been rehabilitated.

However, just one year later, he threatened to detonate what turned out to be a fake suicide vest when attending a rehabilitation conference in central London.

Earlier this week, Begum appeared on Good Morning Britain and claimed she was ‘sorry’ for joining ISIS and wanted to come back to the UK and help tackle terrorism.

In her first live television interview, she stated: “No one can hate me more than I hate myself for what I’ve done and all I can say is I’m sorry and just give me a second chance.

“The only crime I think I committed was being dumb enough to come to ISIS.”

Addressing Prime Minister Boris Johnson, she continued: “You are clearly struggling with extremism and terrorism in your country.

“I could very much help you with that because you clearly don’t know what you’re doing.

“I want them [the British public] to see me as an asset rather than a threat to them.”

Begum, whose parents are of Bangladeshi descent, married a Dutch jihadi after joining ISIS. They went on to have three children together. However, she confirmed in the interview that all of them have passed away.

At this moment in time, she is residing at the Al-Roj detention centre camp in Syria.
