The Chase host Bradley Walsh couldn’t contain his laughter when a contestant confused Coronation Street’s Rovers Return pub with Wetherspoons on the show.
The man, known only as Kieran, made the blunder in the dramatic Final Chase round, much to the presenter’s amusement.
He was asked which fictional pub serves ‘Betty’s Hot-Pot’ and immediately said ‘Wetherspoons,’ before quickly realising his mistake.

The host said: “Wetherspoons, I love it.”
Chaser Anne Hegarty also found the answer amusing, telling the quizzer it can happen to the best of us.
She said: “Everyone is entitled to a bit of a brain fart now and again.”
The team was unsuccessful in the Final Chase and failed to take home the £15,000 cash prize they had built up.
Walsh couldn’t resist having one more pop at the contestant in his closing link for the show, commenting: “Now do you know the difference between Wetherspoons and the Rovers Return? Then come and have a go!”

The episode before saw the biggest ever solo win on the ITV programme, as 20-year-old Eden made history with his £75,000 cash prize.
Walsh was left delighted by the quizzer’s success, and said: “I can’t believe it! This is incredible, he’s 20 years old and just won £75,000.
“It’s the single highest win in daytime history.”
After answering 19 questions correctly, the contestant took the record-breaking prize money home, beating the previous record of £70,000 won by competitor Judith in 2019.
The young man said he would be spending his winnings on a car, telling Walsh: “I suppose a car would be nice. But nothing snazzy. Just anything with four wheels.’”
Chaser Darragh also congratulated him.
He said: “You did very well, it was all about the pushbacks in the end.”
