A Twitter user, who goes by the username @observer _1984, has gone viral after sharing a clip from an episode titled ‘Home Sweet Home-Diddly-Dum-Doodily’.
It follows Bart and Milhouse, who make contact with a monkey. However, they don’t realise the animal is riddled with lice.

This leads to Bart contracting them also, with Milhouse becoming infected with a flu-like illness.
After watching clips of the episode, fans of the cartoon sketch have shared their thoughts.
“The Simpsons does it again,” one simply wrote.
Another added: “The Simpsons predicted it! #monkeypox.”
‘Home Sweet Home-Diddly-Dum-Doodily’ isn’t the only episode that people believe references a monkeypox crisis.
Some fans have also referenced Season 22’s ‘The Fool Monty,’ which features a manufactured disease called House Cat Flu.
According to the NHS website, monkeypox is a rare infection that is typically spread by wild animals, such as mice, rats, and squirrels.
Typical symptoms include a high temperature, a headache, muscle aches, swollen glands and shivering.
This isn’t the only thing that The Simpsons has apparently ‘predicted’.
Recently, the programme went viral after people said it ‘foreshadowed’ Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Fans referenced a 1998 episode titled ‘Simpson Tide,’ which shares some similarities to current events.
It follows Homer Simpson accidentally firing off a submarine captain into Russian water, which leads to the return of the Soviet Union. They then send out troops and tanks to the streets.
At the time, one person tweeted: “I think The #Simpsons predicted the Crisis of #Ukraine and #Russia way before only #UkraineConflict #UkraineRussia.”
