The Simpsons fans are reportedly convinced that the show predicted the Astroworld disaster where eight people died and ‘hundreds’ more were injured.

Many have taken to Twitter to claim that the iconic programme, which also predicted Prince Phillip’s death, ‘foreshadowed’ what happened in Houston, Texas, on Friday, in several episodes.

In one clip that has been shared, Marge Simpson is shown stuck in traffic next to a sign which reads: “Roofi concert 5 miles.”

Find out why fans are convinced The Simpsons predicted the Astroworld tragedy in the clip below…

The character then remarks: “Huh! This concert is oversold. It’s as if a music promoter acted unscrupulously.”

Others have also noticed a parallel in a 1992 episode that shows Homer Simpson holding up a fake copy of the World Weekly News. Apparently, it shares similarities to Scott’s Astroworld promotional art.

Along with this, fans have also been circulating a piece of Matt Groening-inspired fan art which was originally shared on Twitter, by Liam Ayson, back in 2018.

It shows iconic characters such as Homer and Lisa entering Astroworld via the same inflatable Travis Scott head that featured on the cover of the rapper’s album.

Reacting to theories online, one person wrote: “Astroworld, yet another prediction from The Simpsons. How does this actually keep being overlooked? That’s literally Travis Scott as a cartoon portal to hell. The Simpsons knew and I need answers how.”

Another added: “The Simpsons predicted the Astroworld tragedy. Something isn’t adding up.”

“Why do they have an uncanny knack of seeing the future in The Simpsons cartoon?” a third questioned.

The show has long been praised for successfully predicting huge events such as Donald Trump’s presidency and Lady Gaga’s half-time Superbowl performance.

What will they get right next?
