The Northern Irish presenter was hosting the daytime show alongside his wife, Ruth Langsford, when the ‘uncomfortable’ moment took place.
Anastasia Pokreshchuk, from Kiev, Ukraine, was appearing on the show to discuss her fillers and insisted she is much happier with her appearance since having them done.
Watch the moment Eamonn Holmes makes the ‘awkward’ comment in the clip below…
“I am very happy. I am looking from my pictures from two years ago and I think I was ugly,” she explained. “Maybe you don’t like how you look now, but you can change it no problem.”
She added: “I [didn’t] like my face, I looked like a hamster, I like a slim face. I was a hamster; my cheeks were lower.”
Confused, Holmes asked: “You like to look like a hamster?”
At this point, the model awkwardly paused and shook her head.
She said: “No, no. I was. I think I was like a hamster.”
After watching the segment, many people took to Twitter to blast the host for being ‘rude’ and ‘mean’.
One person tweeted: “Why is Eamonn Holmes being so rude? What she does to her own face is her own business?”
“Eamonn really doesn’t hold back, does he?” a second asked.
Fortunately for the TV presenter, some people saw the funny side of his remark.
“Could not stop laughing at your comment on This Morning, when you asked the guest if she liked looking a hamster,” a Twitter user commented. “I have giggled all day.”
Another added: “Well said Eamonn. You were right, she does look like a hamster.”
