The space available when sitting on a plane can often leave a lot to be desired.

Unless you’re sat in first class or have paid for extra legroom, chances are you won’t have much space – especially if the person sitting in front of you has reclined their seat.

Luckily for you, someone on TikTok has come up with a ‘hack’.

Check out this flight attendant ‘spice up’ the preflight demonstrations below…

An account called @theLKshow has shared a piece of advice that might stop the person in front from reclining.

The six-second video, which now has over 2.6 million views, is captioned: “The plane ride is so long when you get one of these people in front of you #plane #reclinetheseat #annoyingpassengers.”

The post then reads: “When you are on a flight and the person in front of you reclines their seat all the way and leaves you no room.

“Turn on the air-con above you on full blast and point it at the top of their head.”

If you’re someone who cherishes legroom, then this hack might be a game changer.

The advice has garnered a mixed reception in the comments, with some praising the hack.

One person says: “Unethical? I think this is completely reasonable.”

Another user adds: “Thank you! now I have more room and double air!”

Someone else writes: “Wish I had done this. The guy just told me that the seats move that far back for a reason. I was squashed [for] the whole flight.”

“I’ve been doing that for as long as I can remember,” agrees a fourth.

A fifth pens: “I have the right to play a two-hour drum solo on my tray table after you recline.”

However, others don’t think the supposed ‘hack’ actually works.

One person writes: “Wait, so I get to recline my seat, I have my own air cooling me down AND I get to have YOUR air cooling me down from another angle?? Awesome!!!”

Someone else argues: “Seats are meant to recline. Recline your seat or upgrade to an area with more legroom.”

“I’ll take the extra AC with my seat laid back,” claims a third person.

Another person comments: “I stay awake the entire flight and it doesn’t bother me if the person in front of me reclines. Flights are expensive. Recline if you want to.”

A fifth person points out: “I’m reclining. Thanks for the extra air. It helps me sleep.”

Although some people in the comments have come up with their own solution.

Someone explains: “Ok but hear me out – EVERYONE should recline, that way everybody is comfy and nobody has less room.”

Another agrees: “The seats are so uncomfortable… everyone should collectively recline!”
