TikTok star Rory Teasley, aged 28, has died after allegedly being ‘strangled to death by his partner’ during a ‘row over a video game,’ according to reports.
According to the Insider, Teasley, who had over 200,000 followers, was ‘found unresponsive’ at his home in Pontiac, Michigan.
It’s believed that his boyfriend, Docquen Jovo Watkins, is now ‘facing criminal charges’.
Oakland County Sherriff Michael Bouchard reportedly said: “We see far too often across the country these days when people resort to violence over trivial and insignificant disagreements.
“There is never a reason where violence is acceptable over a disagreement. Those who do so will be held accountable.”
According to authorities, the couple had been playing a game called Overwatch when an ‘argument’ supposedly broke out.
It’s believed that Teasley was then taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead by doctors.
Following his death, it’s been reported that his partner, Watkins, is facing homicide charges.
He will apparently face a probable cause conference on January 18.
Prior to his death, Teasley opened up about getting older as he approached 30 years old.
In a TikTok post, shared less than a week ago, he said: “Getting old a motherf***er.”
Later on, he added: “Approaching 30 be like.”
After hearing the tragic news, many of Teasley’s fans have taken to social media and paid tribute.
One follower wrote: “RIP. Really hurt the city of this one you will be missed, such a beautiful soul.”
“The whole city is hurt but best believe justice will be served!” a second penned. “We love you baby rest in power.”
