Miley Cyrus’ mum has opened up about the ‘issues’ in her marriage to actor Dominic Purcell.
Tish Cyrus, 56, is the ex-wife of country singer-songwriter and actor Billy Ray Cyrus, with whom she shares three children: Miley, Braison and Noah.
Their marriage came to an end after thirty years together and ever since, the former couple have been making headlines for their new relationships.

Billy Ray, 62, went viral after it was revealed he was engaged to a woman whom he met on the set of Hannah Montana, who is in her thirties.
While Tish tied the knot to Prison Break star Purcell, 54, and although everything seemed fine at first, it’s now been reported that their relationship didn’t start in the most conventional way…
Tish and Dominic’s relationship began through Instagram DMs, with them becoming official in November 2022.
During an appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, the 56-year-old shared that Dominic had actually been her ‘hall pass’ during her marriage to Billy Ray.
She would also recall them making out for ‘three hours’ on a date, and saying ‘I love you’ a day later.
The celebrity couple married in August 2023, exchanging ‘I do’ at a small poolside wedding in Malibu.
However, their special day was absent of some important family members…
Tish’s kids Noah and Braison reportedly didn’t attend the wedding and at first, everyone just presumed it was because they were supporting their dad Billy Ray.
However, a source would then speak out, claiming to Us Weekly that Purcell had previously been in a relationship with Tish’s very own daughter, Noah.
The insider alleged: “Noah was [seeing] Dominic when Tish started pursuing him.
“The turmoil between Noah and Tish goes far beyond [what people think]. Noah is very distraught over Tish stealing Dominic from her.”
While another source claimed to People: “Noah and Dominic were seeing each other in a friends-with-benefits way, off and on. They stopped seeing each other and then Tish started something up.”
And it appears the whole situation was temporarily hush-hush, with it being reported that Miley had ‘no idea’ about the alleged drama.
The pop star apparently confronted her mother and while she thinks it’s all a ‘strange situation’, she wants Tish to be happy.
However, another report claims Miley was ‘fully aware’ of the alleged situation and she ‘took her mom’s side’.
Discussing her mum’s newfound happiness, she even told Vogue: “To see my mom this happy is very emotional for me. Dom and my mom share the sweetest, most genuine love.”
Sadly, this family rift is believed to have affected the relationship between Miley and her younger sister, who now ‘refuses to communicate’ with the ‘Flowers’ singer.
A source tells Us Weekly: “Miley is devastated her family’s been torn apart.”
But apparently, it’s not just a refusal to speak on Noah’s side – as it’s also been reported that Tish ‘is not open to any reconciliation’.
Despite Tish standing by her man, she’s now revealed there are ‘issues’ in her marriage.
On her podcast Sorry We’re Stoned, the 56-year-old says: “I was so scared when I first met Dom, my husband, which was not that long ago. But it is crazy because I am a Taurus and he is an Aquarius, and every single thing I read said, ‘Don’t even do it. It is the absolute worst pairing’.”
Tish also notes that while she ‘takes things personally’, Dominic is a ‘blunt’ person – which can sometimes be a problem.
However, she clarifies that they work through their issues.
“I just feel like instead now of me getting so offended, because I respect and love him, that we have conversations,” Tish shares.
“And instead [of] getting so upset and heated about it, and me not taking it personally, just letting him have an opinion. I’ve never been good at that.”
Divulging further, she concludes: “These are definitely issues. But issues also, because I love him, that I’m dealing with.”
