11 Tory MPs have submitted a letter of no confidence in Boris Johnson today, according to The Telegraph.
The outlet also reported that ’20 more’ will be submitted. If the number reaches 54, a vote will be taken on the Prime Minister’s position.
Christopher Hope, the political editor of the paper, claims one of the rebels told him: “Senior ministers comments saying we’re fools etc have taken most over the edge.

“They would have done better to reach out rather lash out.”
So far, six Conservative MPs have publicly confirmed that they submitted letters of no confidence in the PM.
The Defence Minister, James Heappey, has reportedly urged Tory colleagues to show ‘cool heads’ amid the drama, adding that ‘now was not the right time to change leader’.
It comes after the PM admitted ‘attending a lockdown garden party that was held at Downing Street in May 2020′.
Johnson revealed he was there during PMQs on January 12 and claimed he will ‘take responsibility’ for his actions.

Before the questions started, he released a statement that read: “I want to apologise.
“I know that millions of people across this country have made extraordinary sacrifices over the last 18 months.
“I know the anguish they have been through – unable to mourn their relatives, unable to live their lives as they want or to do the things they love.
“I know the rage they feel with me and with the government, I lead when they think in Downing Street itself the rules are not being properly followed by the people who make the rules.”
The PM then added that he only went into the garden for a ‘short amount of time,’ but should have ordered everyone else back inside.
