A trans woman recently confronted a Star Wars store owner over a transphobic sign in his shop.

Tiesa Meskis was visiting the Sucher & Sons outlet in Aberdeen, Washington, when she spotted the poster which read: “If you are born with a d***, you are not a chick.”

Outraged, the trans councilwoman decided to square up to the shop’s owner, Don Sucher.

Watch the moment the trans woman confronted the shop owner in the clip below…

In a clip circulating online, she can be heard saying: “Trans women are women. That sign is bulls***.”

Sucher replies: “You’re nuts. I’m telling you that as a man, that’s bulls***.”

She then adds: “We are people. We are who we are and we all want to be accepted in our community.”

According to King 5, the shop owner fired back at her by claiming he was expressing his freedom of speech.

He said: “I don’t give a s*** about feelings anymore. Do you think I care about some s*** feeling? Absolutely not.”

When Meskis was interviewed by the Washington Examiner she said that, although she agrees with Sucher being allowed to express himself, she doesn’t believe he should be offensive to the trans community.

She said: “What he wrote there was so demeaning and so dismissive of who I am, who any trans woman is.

“We are people. We are who we are, and we all want to be accepted in our community.”
