Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced that prisoners with ‘combat experience’ will be released to help the country fight against Russia.
The 44-year-old shared a presidential video on February 28 in which he addressed the world and announced that people could ‘compensate for their guilt’ in the ‘hottest war spots’.
He said: “Under martial law, Ukrainians with real combat experience will be released from custody and will be able to compensate for their guilt in the hottest spots of the conflict.
