Uncharted Movie Wraps And Mark Wahlberg Releases First Look At Sullivan

It’s official, filming has wrapped on Uncharted, which means fans hopefully will not have long to wait until they can see Tom Holland as Nathan Drake.

Gamers and movie fans alike are very excited to see how the popular gaming franchise will make the transition from our console screens to the big screen, and Sony, along with Mark Wahlberg, have revealed the latest pictures from set, along with the news that the movie has now officially wrapped.

Last week, Tom Holland got plenty of fans excited by revealing his look as Nathan Drake and today, his co-star, Mark Wahlberg, has followed suit, by releasing his own picture from the set on his Instagram with the caption “Here we go, kid. @unchartedmovie” to his 15m followers.

It’s safe to say it’s not quite as interesting as Tom Holland’s post, but it’s still quite exciting. Earlier this week, Wahlberg also shared a video which showed off his famous Sully moustache

As well the stars of Uncharted releasing their own pictures, Sony Pictures have also joined in and released plenty of stills from the movie, including behind the scenes pictures of Holland and director Reuben Fleischer and a few of the famous relics that will be featured in the movie.

Starring Tom Holland and Mark Wahlberg, Uncharted also stars Antonio Banderas and Sophia Ali and is due for a release in 2021, but given the amount of productions that are being delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we could very well end up seeing Uncharted being pushed back as well.

Either that, or it could end up being released on streaming sites such as Amazon Prime. Imagine that, watching Nathan Drake at home, and then switching over immediately to play him on the game!

Uncharted is just the latest game that has made the leap to the big screen in recent years, with Michael Fassbender’s Assasin’s Creed (2016), Dwayne Johnson’s Rampage (2018) and most recently, Sonic The Hedgehog starring Ben Schwarz and Jim Carrey that was released earlier this year, all making the famously difficult transition to the box office.

Judging by the hype already surrounding Holland as Nathan Drake, though, Uncharted could become the most successful of the lot.
