With a unique blend of strawberry flavoured cream liqueur and a dash of premium Mexican tequila, Tequila Rose is perfect for adding a touch of naughtiness to any sweet creation.
From cocktails and cakes, pancakes and more, the possibilities are endless with Tequila Rose.
To get started, you will need:
- 120g of butter
- 120g of caster sugar
- 125g of self-raising flour
- One egg
- Gel food colouring (pink, of course)
And for the vanilla buttercream:
- 100g of unsalted butter (room temperature)
- 100g of icing sugar
- 2 tbsp Tequila Rose
- Gel food colouring (more pink)
Method:
Next, grab the butter, caster sugar, self-raising flour, and egg and mix it all together. Wait until it’s formed a batter consistency before adding the gel food colouring.
Once it’s the correct consistency (and pink), pour the batter into a tin and let it bake in the oven for 25 minutes.
After the cake’s been removed from the oven, focus your attention on whipping up some creamy Tequila Rose infused buttercream, giving the cake a chance to cool before you decorate it, after all, no one likes runny, sweaty icing.
Viola, you will now have a Tequila Rose infused sponge cake that you can share with family and friends – or hide away for yourself!

Of course, this is just one of the drool-worthy recipes using the strawberry-infused liqueur, you can check out more recipes by clicking here.
