As all Harry Potter fans will know next Tuesday, September 1, is quite an important day for any aspiring witch or wizard. For those who don’t, here’s why.
September 1st is the day that Hogwarts reopens its doors for another school year and welcomes home its students, both old and new. Although it’s looking likely that most muggle students will be returning to school next Tuesday, the Wizarding World is putting on a fantastic event, the very first virtual ‘Back to Hogwarts’ live stream.
The event will start from 10.30 am-11.30 am BST and will be introduced by Harry Potter star and legendary actor, Jason Isaacs, known for his role as Lucius Malfoy, he will be encouraging Potter fans to stay at home and watch the virtual live stream, rather than making their way to Kings Cross Station during the COVID-19 pandemic.
You can check out Jason Isaac’s message to all Potter fans and what they can expect from the event below.
As we kick off the weekend celebrations ahead of the September 1st livestream, we’ve got a special message from @jasonsfolly, (aka Lucius Malfoy) for everyone planning to join #BackToHogwarts this year…https://t.co/jRAGjiGRjZ pic.twitter.com/iwmiFMsiZy

And it won’t just be members of Slytherin tuning into the live stream either, as Bonnie Wright and Oliver and James Phelps, who plays Ginny, Fred and George Weasley respectively will also be joining the first-ever Back To Hogwarts live stream.
The Back To Hogwarts live stream event, which kicks off at 10:30 am -11:30 am will be completely free to join and will let all those who aren’t at school enjoy the magic of going back to Hogwarts from their very own home. You can watch the live stream here!
The Harry Potter franchise is one of the most successful movie franchises of all time. Spanning almost a decade, a whole generation of fans fell in love with the books and the films and the fact that fans still go Kings Cross Station every year on 1st September truly sums up just how much the franchise still means to its fans and this year, the wizarding world can truly be experienced from the safety of your own home.
Despite the film series finishing back in 2011, Warner Bros has continued to spread the magic of Harry Potter, by releasing the Fantastic Beasts spin-off franchise and opening the Warner Bros Studio Tour London, where fans get to explore and take in the incredible sets and props that were used throughout the film series.
