Tom Holland And Daisy Ridley Star In Eagerly Anticipated Trailer For Chaos Walking

The brand new trailer for the dystopian sci-fi thriller Chaos Walking, starring Tom Holland and Daisy Ridley has just dropped and it’s certainly one that will get plenty of fans excited.

Amazingly, this is the first trailer for the film that initially began filming way back in 2017. However, due to negative test screening results, additional filming with reshoots was required. Despite this, plenty of fans have already expressed their excitement for the big screen adaption, following on from today’s trailer announcement.

According to the official synopsis, Chaos Walking is set “in the not too distant future and follows Todd Hewitt (Tom Holland), who discovers Viola (Daisy Ridley), a mysterious girl who crash lands on his planet, where all the women have disappeared and the men are afflicted by ‘the Noise’ – a force that puts all their thoughts on display.

“In this dangerous landscape, Viola’s life is threatened – and as Todd vows to protect her, he will have to discover his own inner power and unlock the planet’s dark secrets.”

As you’d expect, the trailer is full of twists and turns as Todd and Viola work together to protect their world whilst being hunted down by the villainous mayor of Prentisstown, played by Mads Mikkelsen. It also features Tom Holland carrying and protecting a gorgeous border terrier. Well played, Lionsgate, well played.

Based on the best-selling novel The Knife Of Never Letting Go, Chaos Walking is brought to life by Dough Liman, who also directed The Bourne Identity and The Edge Of Tomorrow. As well as Holland and Ridley, the films also stars Mads Mikkelsen, Demián Bichir, Cynthia Erivo, Kurt Sutter, David Oyelowo and Nick Jonas.

Chaos Walking rounds off a very busy period for Holland, who recently appeared in Netflix’s The Devil All The Time, alongside Robert Pattinson, Bill Skasrgård and Mia Wasikowska, as well as officially wrapping on the new Uncharted movie, starring opposite Mark Wahlberg, which is set to be released in 2021.

Chaos Walking is believed to be set for a January 2021 release in the US, but as of yet, there is no confirmed date in the UK.
