Woman Shows Off Results From $11,000 Surgery To Reduce The Size Of Her Forehead
A woman underwent intensive $11,000 surgery to make her forehead smaller.
For some people, looking in the mirror and seeing what they deem imperfections can be a struggle.
But with advancements in cosmetics and surgery, changing your appearance is easier than ever.
Now, one woman has opened up about the brutal surgery she underwent and how she finally feels her ‘true self.’
For Beth Halsey, from the U.K., her forehead was a big insecurity for as long as she could remember.
In an interview with This Morning, she said: “When people say ‘there’s nothing wrong with me’ that’s not the compliment people think it is. It comes across as quite patronizing. I know I don’t have to have this surgery but it’s going to change my life and it has.”
After opening up about the surgery process on TikTok, Halsey has received tons of support in the comments section.
One follower writes: “So subtle but it’s made such a difference.”
Another adds: “Actually looks fantastic.”
“Wow you look absolutely amazing!” a third writes.
Somebody else says: “It’s so interesting because I would’ve looked at you before and didn’t think you needed it, you’re so pretty, but personal insecurities are very real and you look amazing now!”
Halsey’s forehead surgery involved lowering her hairline, and the results left her more confident than ever.
From a young age, Halsey struggled with her self-image due to the size of her forehead. Feeling like a prisoner to her insecurity, she chose to have a fringe to cover up her forehead.
Initially, Halsey believed a hair transplant, which involves hair follicles moving from one part of the head to another, was the only option. However, she couldn’t tolerate the three-month ‘growing out phase.’
Harley Street-based surgeon Dr. Greg Bran performed Halsey’s life-changing surgery.
At her first consultation, Dr. Bran measured each part of her face and decided how much of her forehead to reduce while keeping it proportionate.
Halsey wanted to go low with the surgery, however, her doctor said: “No it will look like you’ve got a hat on all the time.”
After having a ‘cooling off period’ to think it all through, she underwent the surgery, which included a brow lift to help with the illusion.
Halsey shared some final photos before her forehead was reduced, alongside the jokey caption: “RIP forehead.”
The day after the surgery, which was performed under general anesthetic, Halsey’s bandages were taken off.
While she does have minimal scarring from the procedure, she found the results were worth it. Her forehead had been reduced by an inch in the middle and by 2cm on either side of her head.
“Without being too dramatic, it’s quite freeing,” she said during her appearance on This Morning. “I can be my true self and post pictures on Instagram.”
Some people have questioned Halsey on her decision to have the surgery, with one person writing: “Sorry to say but you’re beautiful and to be honest I didn’t see a problem.”
In response to this comment, she said: “Thank you, I didn’t do it for anyone else though, I did it for me.”
