Many people wonder if there is life after death, or what comes after, and one woman has shared what happened when she had a near-death experience.

It’s something people have been debating for years: where do we go when we die?

Is there heaven and hell, something beyond, or is it all over and done with?

A woman has detailed what happened to her during her near-death experience.

Dr. Mary Neal loves going kayaking, but something went horribly wrong on one of her trips.

Despite being hugely experienced, she almost died while out on one expedition, despite taking all of her usual safety measures.

Dr. Neal was on a kayaking trip in Chile when it took a turn for the worse and nearly claimed her life.

She somehow ended up going over a waterfall and became ‘submerged under eight to 10 feet of water.’

Dr. Neal insisted she remained calm despite the fire danger she found herself in.

She recalled the incident to CBN News, saying: “I didn’t panic. I set about trying to free me or free the boat but the weight of the water and the force of the current was too great for me to do anything.”

Dr. Neal said she made peace with the fact that she was about to drown and die.

She said in that moment she relaxed and started to pray and asked God for his ‘will to be done’ if her life were to end there.

“The moment I asked that, I was immediately overcome with this very physical sensation of being held and comforted and reassured that everything would be fine,” she revealed.

“I was being held by Christ, it took me a long time to say that out loud because, probably like everyone – I mean, even though we talk about not having to earn God’s love or work for it, in our hearts we still believe that ‘Oh we’re not good enough.'”

Dr. Neal said it was ‘the first really beautiful things about my experience,’ and recalled being ‘released to the heavens.’

Once there, she said she was met by a waiting group of people who ‘had known me and loved me as long as I have existed, I knew that they were all people who were important in my life story.’

She said there was one thing she didn’t expect: “I felt conscious then more conscious. Alive and then more alive. I never felt dead.”

Many people talk about your life flashing before your eyes, and Dr Neal said she saw ‘her life in review.’

She told Women’s World: “It was the most life-changing part of this entire experience because not only would I re-experience an event from my life in real time, I’d also re-experience it from the perspective of everyone else involved.”

She described heaven as ‘everything was all colors at once, like the Northern Lights.’

“It was like the building was built with fibers of love and it was so radiant and so alluring and beautiful. It was iridescent. All I wanted to do was be there,’ she recalled.

“But as all of that awe-inspiring love flowed through me, my guides told me it wasn’t my time.”
