Gen Z Share Easy Way To Spot A Millennial At A Club
Gen Z is taking to social media and insisting that there’s an easy method to spot a millennial at a club.
We all reach a point in our lives when we feel out of place on a night out because we realise that we are much older than everyone else.
In the flash of a moment, you’ve gone from being young and able to hack back-to-back nights out to nursing the worst hangover in the world after a couple of drinks.
Some people try to hold on to that youthful spirit while others give in and accept that their clubbing days are far behind them.

If you are one of those who still go out and try to blend in, be concerned as Gen Z (anyone born from the mid-1990s to early 2010s) is sharing a way to spot millennials (anyone born from the early 1980s to mid-1990s) at a nightclub.
In a TikTok post uploaded by @htetismommy – which has been viewed just over 104,000 times – they have shared a ‘millennials vs Gen Z’ guide.
For starters, they point out that a millennial is on their phone for the whole duration of the party, while a Gen Z is always dancing for ‘NO REASON’.
They say millennials always seem to be wearing ‘heavy makeup’ while their younger counterparts prefer to go for the minimalistic look.
They also compare shoewear as Gen Z opt for comfy trainers while millennials still prefer to wear heels.
Finally, the TikToker says a millennial can often be seen talking and interacting with other people, while Gen Zs prefer to dance by themselves.

It’s fair to say the responses in the comments have been mixed, with one person saying: “I definitely think it’s the exact OPPOSITE.”
Someone else writes: “Millennials are always standing around watching, Gen Z, are the hype ones.”
“They’re both literally me on different days,” admits a third.
Another viewer shares: “Interesting. The Gen Z in my town are the opposite. They don’t even like to go to clubs, I was afraid it was a dying pastime.”

Meanwhile, another millennial has taken to TikTok to share their own experience of getting trolled by Gen Z for the way they dance.
Gus Rosas, who goes by @goodforthegooch on the social media app, says in a video that someone told him his dance moves give away his age.
In the clip, which has been viewed 2.9 million times, the 32-year-old recalls how he kept putting his hands up while on the dance floor and shouting ‘woo’.
But every time he did this, it prompted the young woman to pull his arms down.
“I’m too old to be in this club,” Rosas comments.

Viewers have taken to the comments to sympathise with the TikToker.
One person writes: “We were literally instructed to put our hands in the air like we just don’t care. It’s our legacy.”
“Being a Gen Z sounds exhausting,” adds a second.
Another person comments: “What I noticed in the generation [is] they don’t seem to be having fun when they dance… we had fun not caring what people saw.”
