According to the comments, countless people immediately headed to their kitchens to find out whether their appliance could do the same thing.
The person in the video then reaches toward the side of the rack and adjusts a mechanism, allowing part of the shelf to move.

By pressing the mechanism located on the side of the rack, users can lower the entire top shelf, creating extra space for taller items such as long-stemmed wine glasses.
This allows glasses to fit comfortably without risking damage when the dishwasher door is closed.
The adjustment isn’t just useful for wine glasses, either. Lowering the upper rack can also create extra room for reusable water bottles, champagne flutes, travel cups and other awkwardly shaped items that don’t normally fit inside the appliance.
While many people were thrilled to learn about the built-in function, the comments suggest there may be one catch: getting the rack back into place can sometimes be easier said than done.
