The husband of the employee caught cheating on the big screen at a Coldplay concert has spoken out.

Back in July, Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and HR chief Kristin Cabot were caught seemingly sharing an intimate moment on the big screen, before immediately (and very sheepishly) jumping apart once they realized they were being broadcast.

The two were attending a Coldplay concert in Boston, U.S., and the pair subsequently went super viral following their awkward blunder.

At the time, frontman Chris Martin seemed pretty surprised by the unfolding situation, telling crowds: “Oh look at these two.

“Either they are having an affair or they’re just really shy.”

And following the clip, which garnered the attention of millions, it was revealed that Cabot filed for divorce from her husband, Andrew Cabot, last month.

But it wasn’t the only bombshell thing to happen following the concert.

Byron also resigned from his giant role as CEO of Astronomer.

The company shared a statement which read: “As stated previously, Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding. Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met.

“Andy Byron has tendered his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted.

“The Board will begin a search for our next Chief Executive as Cofounder and Chief Product Officer Pete DeJoy continues to serve as interim CEO.”

But in a twist that no one saw coming, Andrew, Kristin’s former husband, has spoken out about the controversial interaction.

It seems that the couple had already gone their separate ways weeks before the Coldplay concert.

A spokeswoman for Andrew told People that he and Kristin ‘were privately and amicably separated several weeks before the Coldplay concert.’

“Their decision to divorce was already underway prior to that evening,” they added.

“Now that the divorce filing is public, Andrew hopes this provides respectful closure to speculation and allows his family the privacy they’ve always valued.

“No further public comment will be made.”

Kristin also resigned from her role.

Pete DeJoy, who is currently acting as CEO, also addressed the big screen moment in a statement online.

He took a slightly different take on the situation, as he noted: “The spotlight has been unusual and surreal for our team and, while I would never have wished for it to happen like this, Astronomer is now a household name.”

DeJoy added: “The events of the past few days have received a level of media attention that few companies – let alone startups in our small corner of the data and AI world – ever encounter.”
