People Stunned After Finding Out Karoline Leavitt’s Real Age
People are in shock after finding out White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt’s real age.
Leavitt, who served as Donald Trump‘s campaign spokeswoman during his third bid for the Presidency, came into the role at the beginning of his second term, making history.
She has become known for her ‘no-nonsense’ press briefings.
A native of New Hampshire, Leavitt studied communications and political science at Saint Anselm College, a Catholic college in her home state.
While still in school, she interned at Fox News and in Trump’s White House press office.
She told Politico in 2020 that she gained her ‘first glimpse into the world of press’ through these experiences.
They led to her decision to pursue a career in press relations, she said.
Career in Washington
Leavitt began working for the first Trump White House shortly after graduating in 2019, first as presidential speechwriter and later as assistant press secretary, according to the website for her 2022 run for Congress.
Her website stated: “I helped prepare Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany for high-pressure briefings [and] fought against the biased mainstream media.”
After leaving the White House, Leavitt served as the communications director for Elise Stefanik, a senior Republican congresswoman.
Leavitt departed that role to run for Congress, winning the Republican nomination for New Hampshire’s first congressional district in 2022, only to lose in the general election to Democrat Chris Pappas.
Political positions
The policy positions she listed on her campaign website largely align with many of Trump’s priorities.
On the economy, she pledged to ‘CUT taxes’ and ‘champion pro-growth, free market policies.’
She presented herself as a strong backer of law enforcement and strong borders, including ‘ZERO tolerance for illegal immigration’ and said she would work to ensure the completion of the border wall.
In January 2024, she joined Trump’s third bid for the presidency as his campaign press secretary.
Internet reacts to Karoline Leavitt’s age
Leavitt is the youngest White House Press Secretary in the history of the United States, and people are stunned after finding out her age.
On X (formerly Twitter), one person said: “Karoline Leavitt is really young to become the White House Press Secretary, that’s amazing!
“As an Asian woman, it’s really inspiring to see her work so hard to climb to this position.”
Another added: “She should be seen as a role model especially for young girls.”
However, not everyone was as impressed.
One person said that learning Leavitt’s real age ‘broke my brain a little,’ while a second commented: “I cannot believe I am older than her.”
How old is Karoline Leavitt?
The White House Press Secretary is only 28-years-old – and was 27 when she landed the role.
She married her 60-year-old husband, real estate developer Nicholas Riccio, this past January, just days before President Trump’s second inauguration.

During a new interview on the Pod Force One with Miranda Devine podcast, Leavitt agreed with the host that her marriage was ‘unusual.’
When bluntly asked: “Could you not find boys your own age, who are as mature?” the republican replied, laughing: “Honestly, no, if you want to know the truth.”
Leavitt also admitted that her parents had a tough time accepting her husband, likely due to the fact that her mother is younger than Riccio.
She explained: “But then, of course, once they got to know him and saw who he is as a man, and his character and how much he adores me, I think it became quite easy for them.
“And now we’re all friends. I mean, it’s a typical family relationship. My husband has such respect for my parents and the way that they raised me, and we all have a lot of fun together when they come to visit.”
The couple, who met when Leavitt was 25 and got engaged in 2023, share one son, Niko, born in July 2024.
