A video showing how disposable vapes are made has people swearing off using them again.

It’s estimated that around nine million people in America vape, the equivalent of around 1 in 20, as per Cross River Therapy.

With the habit rising in popularity, disposable vapes are becoming a cheaper and more accessible option to many.

Understandably, this is becoming a concern to experts.

Vaping can become a very addicting habit and the more you do it, the more your brain and body crave nicotine.

Nicotine, derived from the tobacco plant, is a highly addictive substance that causes a surge of endorphins – chemicals that help to relieve stress and pain and improve mood, as per Medical News Today.

Vaping is also an addictive habit due to its convenience and marketing.

As reported by the U.S. Centre For Disease Control and Prevention, electronic cigarettes come in various flavors and brightly colored packaging, particularly attracting the attention of teenagers and young adults.

The matter was even flagged by the World Health Organization, with Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, WHO Director-General, stating: “Kids are being recruited and trapped at an early age to use e-cigarettes and may get hooked to nicotine.

“I urge countries to implement strict measures to prevent uptake to protect their citizens, especially their children and young people.”

Amid the concerns regarding vaping, numerous videos have gone viral online.

One of which reportedly shows inside a vape factory in the Shenzhen region of China, where it’s claimed around 80% of the world’s electronic cigarettes are made.

In the shocking clip, uploaded by Machina, one of the factory workers can be seen holding a dozen vapes in each hand and puffing on each one.

The employee claims that on a typical day, he’ll puff on ‘8,000 to 10,000 vapes’ but at peak times can ‘exceed 10,000.’

After watching the footage, one viewer said: “My lungs hurt watching the testers smoke that much a day.”

A second person commented: “I’m definitely never vaping now lmao.”

But this isn’t the only video that has left vape users vowing to ditch the habit.

Another clip, posted by Ryan Horace, shows how the disposables are put together, taking viewers through the process.

Many were horrified the workers weren’t wearing gloves when attaching the mouthpiece and questioned why.

While gloves can ‘create a false sense of security,’ as explained by Surewash, and may mean you need to wash your hands more, the clip has seemingly deterred some viewers from the habit.

After watching the viral video, one viewer wrote: “Well, that doesn’t look very appetizing, that was definitely the last one I bought after seeing that.”

Another remarked: “I’ll stick to breathing air thanks.”

“You are telling me that they are touching the tips of the vape without any gloves on?” questioned a third.
