Shoppers have been left completely baffled – and mildly exposed – by a seemingly normal pair of trousers that take a truly unexpected turn at the back.
Fashion trends have become increasingly difficult to predict.
From jeans covered in mud to handbags shaped like pigeons, designers have repeatedly proved that almost anything can become the next viral talking point.
But one pair of trousers has left shoppers doing a double take for a very unexpected reason.
At first glance, they look like a fairly ordinary pair of tailored grey trousers.
It’s only when the wearer turns around that people realise something is… staring back at them.
They look completely normal from the front
The unusual design comes from Fashion Brand Company, a label known for producing unconventional statement pieces.
Called the Face Cut-Out Gray Trousers, the pants feature a classic tailored silhouette with a high waist, straight-leg fit and stretchy grey fabric.
From the front, there’s very little to suggest they’re anything other than smart casual trousers.
But the back tells a completely different story.
The surprise feature has left people stunned
Instead of a standard rear design, the trousers feature embroidered eyes and a stitched nose positioned just above two perfectly circular cut-outs placed directly over the wearer’s buttocks.
The result creates the illusion of an entire face looking back at whoever is standing behind you.
As if that wasn’t unusual enough, the brand has given the circular openings an equally bizarre purpose.
According to Fashion Brand Company, the holes are designed to provide ‘fart ventilation.’
The trousers retail for $174 and have quickly become one of the brand’s most talked-about products.
The internet couldn’t believe what it was seeing
Unsurprisingly, social media users wasted no time sharing their thoughts.
Many admitted they weren’t sure whether the trousers were a genuine fashion item or an elaborate joke.
One person joked: “Is this what it means to have eyes in the back of your pants?”
Another wrote: “These trousers are the definition of cheeky business casual.”
A particularly horrified commenter added: “Imagine someone behind you sneezing and making eye contact with your butt.”
Others fully embraced the absurdity.

Some fashion fans have praised the quality of the tailoring as well as the premium material blend, which consists of 78% terylene, 20% rayon and 2% spandex.
Others have described the design as wearable art rather than everyday clothing.
