Woman Left In Pain For Seven Years After Ex Farted In Her Face
A poor woman was left in agonizing pain after her boyfriend farted in her face, causing her years of problems and infections.
While it might seem comical at first glance, she was left with shocking pain after her partner farted in her direction.
Everybody loves a fart joke, so who would have thought it could have caused such damage?
Christine Connell, from Australia, spent almost a decade wondering what had caused this terrible pain in her face, which was leaving medical professionals mystified.
To make matters worse, she split up with her boyfriend not long after the farting incident, which she described as ‘the worst thing she ever smelled.’
That’s quite the gift for an ex to leave you with!
Connell revealed how she repeatedly suffered from a stuffy nose and unbearable pain in her face in the years after, with the fart causing infections.
She thinks it all happened when she was recovering in bed in a hotel room after undergoing knee surgery.
Connell recalled her boyfriend bending over while he was changing in front of her, and breaking wind.
She said he didn’t mean to do it in her face, but it was too late.
Connell shared what had happened on TikTok, posting as @christineexploring: “I realized that my ex-boyfriend got the best possible breakup revenge that anyone could ever get.
“I’ve had a persistent sinus infection ever since he and I stayed in a hotel one night after I had surgery and he farted terribly.
“I couldn’t breathe. There’s not anything that even compares to that.”
She captioned a clip where she shared the results with: “I wish I were joking.’
Connell shared they had found E.coli in her sinuses, commenting: “You usually don’t get E.coli in your sinuses because E.coli is from poop.
“So I don’t know, how does that get in your sinuses unless you have a boyfriend who farts disgustingly and you are forced to inhale it because you are immobile after ankle surgery?”
E. coli is a group of bacteria that can cause infection in your gut (GI tract), urinary tract, and other body parts. It can live in your body without hurting you, however, some strains can make you sick with watery diarrhea, vomiting, and a fever, per the Cleveland Clinic.
She added: “Maybe in another circumstance, if I had been healthy, it wouldn’t have happened.
“And also, when I say it was the worst fart I have ever smelled in my life, I truly mean that.
“So, I think there were just a lot of factors combined that made this possible.”
Connell admitted it was a rare instance: “I think it’s actually more common to get pink eye from someone farting in your face.”
Commenters were horrified by the TikToker’s revelation, and were tagging medical professionals to try and find out how likely it is.
Connell did reply to one comment, saying the E. coli could have entered her sinuses during the surgery she underwent.
One viewer said: “The infections often occur after medical procedures like nasal intubation or nasogastric tubing.”
“I’m not sure if that makes it better or worse,” Connell replied.
